Watercolor and Tea

Right now, I'm sitting in a swanky little coffee shop in NoDa (Its called Trade & Lore, if you're curious). There's something about coffee shops that get my creative juices flowing.

I'm working on a series of coral paintings for a client's nursery right now. The beauty of coral is in its organic shape, texture, and color. This is what I'm playing with in my sketchbook.

I'm researching different species of coral, doing a loose watercolor render of each one, and trying to decide which ones will look best in a series of 3.

The pictures I posted are a few examples of these watercolor sketches. Each took about 5-`10 minutes to complete. When I start working on the final paintings, I want to post videos of the process, and those will only be available to my patrons :)

I would love to hear your thoughts or questions! Can't wait to show you the updates in the following weeks!

Alright, that's all for now.
